Be able to delete a specific page on document
you can delete the document, but you can not delete a page if no longer want in there or you made a mistake to put it there

Ability to filter which files are processed by the Folder Monitor
If there was ability to customize which files, by their extensions, were processed by Folder Monitor, then temporary files created by some scanning devices will not get picked up by mistake.

It is difficult to tell where the focus is because the cursor is not visible.
Further, when I dialog window is called, place the focus in one of the text fields. For example, when the document is being saved, place the focus automatically in the "file name" text field. Right now, I have to use the mouse of select the text field that I want. Being able to tab through the text fields would also be helpful.

The Document Viewer Needs A 180-Degree Rotation Button In Addition To The Left And Right Rotation Buttons
This would button operation would reduce the number of clicks to rotate an upside-down scanned or imported document, reducing screen refreshes and time to get to the desired document orientation.

Allow "add imported pfd" to an existing document (instead of adding by scanning)
We can add pages to a document by scanning. If we download a statement for example, we can import it, them merge it, then delete the old two files.....but we can not just add it to a previous document.

6 voteseDoc Organizer can integrate with other Scanning and OCR applications via the use of Folder Monitors (Tools > Configure Folder Monitors menu item). Folder Monitors allow eDoc Organizer to detect and automatically import any documents that are added to a particular folder on the computer. You can configure your OCR application to write the output to a certain directory on your computer and then configure eDoc Organizer to import those files automatically via the Folder Monitors.

Automate the apply and save screen
When scanning multiple documents via an ADF its quite time consuming saving each one (at the comments/label stage) It would be handy to just accept the settings at the begining and apply it to all scanned docs

Automatically correct document orientation
In order for the OCR to pick up keywords correctly the documents have to be scanned in the correct orientation. This possible human error could lead to some items not being labeld correctly. It would be really good if it could autiomatically correct the orientation before running ocr.
I have no idea how you'd do it!!

Allow scanned pages to be automatically marked as a new document.
Create a check box so that you can force scanning to make each page processed by the ADF be marked as a new page without the need to insert a blank sheet.

A few ideas that would make a great product even better.
- It would be great if you were able to sort the thumbnails by name, date, etc.
- Provide confirmation on the number of items being deleted.
- Improve the layout of the View Pane. Sticking to one font and one font size would make it a lot easier to read, as would arranging the tags into orderly columns.

Allow setting the date and time format
Not all users are American. Either let the user change the date and time format (October 4th is 04/10 in the US but 10/04 in the rest of the world) or use the Windows regional settings.

Add a counter clockwise button to the document viewer toolbar.
I had quite a few documents I needed to rotate 90 degrees counter clockwise but with no option I had to rotate them all 270 degrees clockwise. There's plenty of room on the tool bar so it would be a nice addition.

Add hot key for document add and remove buttons in scan dialog ribbon commands
When scanning multiple documents at a time it would be great if I could just hit alt+A or alt+"+" to add a document and/or alt+R or alt+"-" to remove a document. Might be good to have a tool tip or something that shows that the hot keys exist and what they are assigned to as well.

Add warning or prevent duplicate tags from being created
When creating a new tag check to see if a tag with the same (case insensitive ignore whitespace?) name is already in the category. If it is warn the user of the potential duplication.

Add an Option for One-Click Scanning.
I'm using the trial version, but I do intend on purchasing. The biggest help to me would be to add an option button that would allow a one-click scan.
Most of my documents are single pages that I don't need to change settings on. It would be great to click a button, scan the document, perform ocr and return me to the main page all with the single click.
Multipage documents would still need to go to the scanning wizard, but a single page would just do it.

Modify scanning window
After scanning a document, the program allows you to label it and tag it. It would be nice to have room. Instead of a single pane with all the info there, split it. The problem is the categories window is so small.

Online backup service
It would be nice if eDoc provided an online (off site) backup service. This way I wouldn't have to mess with creating multiple backups on different hard drives or network locations.
As an alternative you can also integrate with popular online backup services like DropBox, Carbonite, etc.

Add Recycle Bin type functionality to eDoc Organizer
If a user accidentally deletes a file from eDoc Organizer, there is no way to recover it. At the very least eDoc Organizer should send the file to the computer's recycle bin so that it can be recovered. It would be even great if a recycle bin type feature could be added to eDoc Organizer so that you can recover the labels, comments and other attributes of the file as well.

After further consideration we have decided to add this feature to the Business Edition of eDoc Orgnaizer. For the home edition, deleted documents will be sent to the Windows Recycle Bin for recoverability. -
Error recovery from a crash during scanning
When eDoc Organizer is in the middle of a scan and if the program crashes due to an error the pages scanned so far are lost. This means the whole batch needs to be rescanned. It would be nice if the pages that are scanned will be retained when the program is reopened.
