Vitrual print driver
In order to truly implement a paperless office you need to be able to store things which you may want to print from a web site. Or anywhere actually. So, rather like the PDF creating ‘virtual printers’, why not have your own virtual printer which will create an eDoc entry?

feature request / questions
I currently have PaperPort 9 Pro Office and have also upgraded to version 12 Standard. However, I will probably get my money back on version 12. The main reason I love your program is that it's compatible with Thunderbird for sending emails!! Smiley
There are a couple of features that I'd like to see and would like to know if you're already working on them, what the status is, etc...

When tag dialog appears after scan allow comma seperated list
After scanning a document a tag dialog box appears. I would like the search input box to allow a comma or some easy method of searching for multiple tags at a time. For example in the search box I would put:
2011, January, Bank Statement
Below the following tags would appear
2011
January
Bank Statement
This would make the tagging process much faster for me.3 votesStarting with version 3.6 of eDoc Organizer, you will be able to search for multiple labels in the apply labels dialog by providing a comma separated search string. The search terms can be partial e.g. 2011, jan, bank. You can then use the select all button in the toolbar to select all filtered labels and apply them to the scanned document quickly.

tagging effeciency
When tagging documents, it is a little time consuming to find the tag, and click it. Sometime there are multiple tags required. It would be awesome if you could do an auotomplete. So, just like the search label does, but if it finds one, an enter key would select the tag, reset search, and allow you to find another one. I can type much faster than flicking betweenn keyboard and mouse.

Quick Tag Search In Document Properties
When prompted to select tags it would be nice to have a free text box that I can use to quickly find tags as I enter text in. For example typing s and having all tags and categories beginning with s appear.

Add a counter clockwise button to the document viewer toolbar.
I had quite a few documents I needed to rotate 90 degrees counter clockwise but with no option I had to rotate them all 270 degrees clockwise. There's plenty of room on the tool bar so it would be a nice addition.

Be able to delete a specific page on document
you can delete the document, but you can not delete a page if no longer want in there or you made a mistake to put it there

Save the option "use document feeder"
I always use the document feeder but i allways have got to select the option "use document feeder"

eDoc Organizer vesion 4.3 and higher will allow users to drag and drop and import emails directly from Microsoft Outlook into eDoc Organizer.

These features already exist in version 3.x of eDoc Organizer.
- Auto deskew at scan time can be performed using the “Correct Slanted Documents” checkbox in the right hand side panel of the scan document wizard.
- There is an Auto Crop button in the scan document wizard toolbar under the Corrections section that allows you to perform auto deskew and crop after the page has been scanned into the wizard. -
Add import wizard
An idea I'd like to see if to add an import wizard. When you import files (as opposed to scanning them in), when they are imported, they go right into the document listing. In order for me to catagorize or keyword, I need open each one and then resave. It would be nice to walk through via a wizard that when I import, before the import is done it prompts me for keywording and catagorizing before finishing the process.

You should be able to export (and attach) with documents with original file names.
It is very irretating to have to rename docuements when exporting or sending as attachment.
1 voteReleased in version 3.5 of eDoc Organizer. A separate field is added to eDoc Organizer database to track file names. The contents of this field to create the filename for export and email attachments.

A few ideas that would make a great product even better.
- It would be great if you were able to sort the thumbnails by name, date, etc.
- Provide confirmation on the number of items being deleted.
- Improve the layout of the View Pane. Sticking to one font and one font size would make it a lot easier to read, as would arranging the tags into orderly columns.

Allow setting the date and time format
Not all users are American. Either let the user change the date and time format (October 4th is 04/10 in the US but 10/04 in the rest of the world) or use the Windows regional settings.

Add hot key for document add and remove buttons in scan dialog ribbon commands
When scanning multiple documents at a time it would be great if I could just hit alt+A or alt+"+" to add a document and/or alt+R or alt+"-" to remove a document. Might be good to have a tool tip or something that shows that the hot keys exist and what they are assigned to as well.

Bring the OCR option check box to the scanning page
Would make it easier to change on while scanning various kinds of documents
1 voteNo change needed as selecting “Other (Don’t perform OCR)” option from the OCR language dropdown accomplishes the same thing.

Add an Option for One-Click Scanning.
I'm using the trial version, but I do intend on purchasing. The biggest help to me would be to add an option button that would allow a one-click scan.
Most of my documents are single pages that I don't need to change settings on. It would be great to click a button, scan the document, perform ocr and return me to the main page all with the single click.
Multipage documents would still need to go to the scanning wizard, but a single page would just do it.

Modify scanning window
After scanning a document, the program allows you to label it and tag it. It would be nice to have room. Instead of a single pane with all the info there, split it. The problem is the categories window is so small.

Quick Scan
Provide the abiltiy in eDoc Organizer to quickly scan a document using the last scan settings or the default scan profile.
